Shots Fired In Newark, Two Firearms Recovered: Police

Gunshots were fired in Newark on the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 14, authorities said.

At 8:21 p.m., police responded to the 100 block of Clifton Avenue on a report of shots fired, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said. While police did not locate any victims, they did recover two firearms in the immediate area, Fragé said.

This incident remains under investigation, Fragé said.
